Properties of the product
Masonite Oil-tempered is an extra hard Masonite board in which the high resistance to wear and damp have been further enhanced by total impregnation with pine oil (by immersion in an oil bath – not surface treated on one side only).The sheet is then cured at 155 C for 8 to 12 hours. This treatment gives the sheet a surface that is highly resistant to all types of impacts and wear.
Fields of application The board has a wide field of application in the building and woodworking industry, for example as a wallboard in agricultural buildings and unheated premises, simple roof and floor covering, packaging, shuttering for concrete, wear surface on loading platforms, garage doors, external doors, windows parapets, and as a backing for laminate. The deep brown colour of the board, showing the wood fibres, gives a pleasing appearance in rugged surroundings.
